No doubt, taking care of your skin is always going to be a priority. You want it to always to stay soft, young and beautiful. So you may have come across LifeCell, and thought, finally … this is it, this is what my skin needs.
But before you get your hopes up about it, it’s best to know whether LifeCell really is the amazing skincare cream it says it is. Nothing is worse than having high expectations and then being met with disappointment. So, we’re going to review LifeCell for you and see whether it’s a skincare cream that is worth your time and money.
LifeCell review
LifeCell is an anti-aging cream that takes away the appearance of wrinkles. It eliminates wrinkles from view instantly, and also reduces wrinkles and signs of aging in the long term. LifeCell uses a formula of natural, plant-derived ingredients.
LifeCell has a number of skin care benefits which all contribute to its abilities to rejuvenate and nourish your skin, leaving you with a youthful look:
- instantly eliminates the appearance of wrinkles
- reduces wrinkles and other signs of aging
- improves skin firmness and elasticity
- makes your skin smoother and evens skin tones
- moisturizes skin and provides 24 hours hydration
- brightens dark circles
LifeCell is an easy to use all-in-one facial cream that comes in a tube. It works on all skin types. Also, one tube of LifeCell (2.5 oz) will last you two to three months.
Are the manufacturer’s claims about LifeCell true?
LifeCell is manufactured by South Beach Skin Care company. Apparently LifeCell makes you “look younger almost … instantly” because it “works in 17 seconds”. Wow! If that’s the case, how can you not be impressed? Miracle skin treatment or what? You might be thinking it sounds to good to be true. And you’re not wrong to think so. It’s important to be careful about what you read and what a products says it does.
But with LifeCell, they give us an explanation about what they’re talking about. They tell us that with wrinkles, what you see is actually the shadows created by the edges of wrinkles, not the wrinkle itself. Quite an interesting fact!
Anyway, what LifeCell’s ingredients does is that it causes natural light to bounce into the wrinkles which gets rid of these shadows. It does this via light-reflecting micro-technology. It tells us that once you wash your face again, the effect will go. The key thing here is that they say your wrinkles will disappear from plain sight and they back it up with this veritable phenomenon.
But of course, you can’t expect LifeCell to give you a great transformation just like that. Even though what they say is backed up by science, they have hyped it up a bit, and you should not hold extremely high expectations. The extent to which the wrinkles won’t show on your face will depend on many factors, like the surrounding light and your skin. Bear in mind that this instant wrinkle-no-more effect is only a part of what the product claims it does.
We are told that LifeCell also works to rejuvenate your skin, which are it’s long term effects. The website says that this is thanks to the active ingredients in LifeCell. So how can we take their word on this one? Well, it points out that there has been research on the ingredients used in LifeCell. And they say that these are done by such renowned university medical departments by the likes of Harvard, Yale, Cornell and Oxford. For example, a Yale study conducted by a medical doctor demonstrated the key ingredient in LifeCell (D3PA) helped to produce nitric oxide on the surface of the skin. This compound promotes healthy skin cells and the results showed participants had a “healthy glow” after five days.
So, from this we can conclude that LifeCell uses scientifically proven ingredients and it’s skin care benefits have been clinically tested, which is good to know about the product.
How does LifeCell work?
Now that we’ve looked at what LifeCell can do, let’s see how it works to achieve its effects. We have already seen how LifeCell works to immediately eradicate wrinkles and fine lines from site. It does it by using silicone dioxide crystals, which have the effect of reflecting light into the crevices of wrinkles and eliminates the shadow they create. Therefore, wrinkles and fine lines don’t appear as dark and deep. If you like, you might see it as something like fooling the human eye.
But LifeCell not only works at the superficial level, its active ingredients penetrate your deeper skin layers and act from the inside out to rejuvenate, replenish and renew your skin. The main way LifeCell works is by regenerating the natural stem cells in your skin. This has the effect of restoring and revitalizing your skin. This is important because as your skin ages, it loses the ability to rapidly regenerate. And when this happens, your skin loses its elasticity and that’s when you start to develop wrinkles, saggy skin and dark circles. By reversing this aging process and encouraging regeneration, LifeCell helps keep your skin elastic, firm and youthful.
What are the ingredients in LifeCell?
LifeCell contains a powerful formula of natural ingredients that are all plant-derived. Essentially, it contains five key active ingredients. But you won’t find the complete ingredient list on the website, only of these key ingredients. Now, often when a company does not disclose its full list of ingredients, it’s fair to assume that they’re hiding something.
However, we found out that with LifeCell, this was not the case – they have nothing to hide. When we asked them about the ingredients in the cream, they did not hesitate in giving us the complete ingredient list. That’s when we found out that the reason why they hadn’t disclosed the entire list was because it was a very long one. We counted, and LifeCell contains a total of 43 ingredients! True to their word, all of them were natural and plant-derived. Many of the other ingredients were antioxidants, which of course is known for its great benefits for the skin.
Here we are going to focus on LifeCell’s key active ingredients, and take a look at how each one contributes to giving you more youthful and firmer skin.
Dithiolane-3-Pentanic Acid (D3PA): This ingredient is an antioxidant which targets the main source of wrinkles by neutralizing free radicals. This allows for healthy skin cells to flourish. While most other antioxidants can only prevent damage from happening to the inside or outside of a cell, D3PA is different because it can protect the whole cell as its both a water and fat soluble antioxidant. It also has better staying power compared to other antioxidants, and has an anti-inflammatory properties that help heal and restore skin cells. D3PA helps produce nitric oxide, which has been proven to nourish the skin and give it a healthy glow.
Deanol: This plays the role of firming the skin and toning the muscle below. It does this by promoting the release of a chemical agent known as acetycholine. It gives you a leaner look and a natural face lift.
Ubiquinone: Dubbed the super-antioxidant, ubiquinone has the ability to encourage the body to increases it’s production of elastin, collagen and other significant skin molecules. This helps to reduce wrinkles. It also speeds up the removal of dead skin cells to make way for the new.
Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (AH3): This particular ingredient is a safe and painless alternative to Botox. AH3 doesn’t involve paralysis or toxins, unlike Botox. Instead, it works by blocking the nerve signals that control the contraction of facial muscles, and this leads to a reduced appearance of wrinkles.
Ascirbyl Palmitate: Also known as vitamin C, this ingredient helps to heal and lighten the skin. It protects your skin against damage from UV rays, prevents hyper pigmentation and reduces skin inflammation.
Does LifeCell have any side effects?
To the best of our knowledge, there are no known side effects of using LifeCell. This skincare cream is paraben-free, which means it doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals. It is an all-natural product and contains only plant-derived ingredients. LifeCell is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and noncomedogenic (doesn’t block pores). Basically, the chances of a reaction are slim to none.
But if you have sensitive skin and are concerned about it then it is recommended you do a patch test in the neck area behind your ear twice a day for three consecutive days. If your skin doesn’t react, then you’re good to go. This is only a precaution, and generally you can expect that LifeCell doesn’t cause any side effects or reactions.
What are people saying about LifeCell?
We can tell you that there is certainly lot’s of positive talk about this product. It’s been advertised on Globe and Star Magazines. It’s been used by a lot of A-list celebrities, supermodels and well known personalities. Among them include Paula Abdul, Paris Hilton, Felicity Huffman and Melora Hardin. On the website you can see them holding the LifeCell product in their hands, and their comments show that they are deeply impressed by it.
Customer reviews and testimonials on LifeCell are somewhat mixed. Most are pleased with the results and are happy with their choice to give LifeCell a go. The testimonials on the website are detailed and appear to be authentic – the site itself is encouraging customers to send in their before and after photos, with a $1500 incentive if they use your testimonial.
But we also found quite a few negative reviews about LifeCell charging customers even though they only purchased the trial. We’ll talk about that later in this post.
It’s recommended by many medical professionals and cosmetic specialists who know what they’re talking about. Dermatologist Janet Allenby of Delray Beach, FL says that LifeCell eliminates the need for Botox or cosmetic surgery. Doctor Tom Graham of Des Moines, Iowa says it a “youth-activating”, powerful anti-aging cream. They all recommend LifeCell to their patients.
Where can you buy LifeCell and how much does it cost?
A tube of LifeCell will last you 2 to 3 months, so you won’t need to buy one every month and there’s no automatic monthly shipping program you’re entered into. After that, when you choose to reorder, you will be given the special, discounted VIP price of $149 for your LifeCell product. You are eligible for the VIP price on either the subscription or call-in basis.
During your free trial, if you decide you don’t want to use it then you can return it to the company. You don’t have to give them any reason for it. If you notify them within the 30 day period, you won’t be billed for the retail cost.
In addition to the 30 day trial, you are also backed by a 120 day money back guarantee. This means that you can return the product for up to four months and receive a full refund for the tube – even if the tube is entirely empty.
Anything else you need to know?
You can also expect great customer service from LifeCell – this certainly sets it apart from other products. They provide all their contact details for you to get in touch with them, including their email and phone number. Their customer service hours are from 9am to 5pm EST, Monday to Friday. On their website they also have a live chat service which is a great way of asking them questions – they’re very helpful and transparent about everything. This is a big tick in our books.
What’s our verdict?
We think that LifeCell is a skincare product that is effective and safe to use. It’s an all-in-one facial cream that reduces wrinkles and signs of aging, as well as rejuvenating the skin.
For its instant effects in eliminating wrinkles, you can’t expect a major transformation right away. Usually these effects will start to show more after a day or two of using the cream – users have reported softer skin with a glow. LifeCell’s long term effects will take longer to happen, after four to six months, which will regenerate and restore your skin.
LifeCell has a 120 money back guarantee policy, which allows you to change your mind and get a refund. It’s also a reflection of how confident they are in their product.
LifeCell is a “DeadCell in my book. There business tactics regarding auto charges and refunds are questionable and makes them appear desperate.
I will not give my credit/debit card number out on the internet!! I am just tired of hackers and scammers gaining access to my personal information, especially my financial account information!!! If a company refuses to sustain a legitimate contact customer service telephone number, they are, in my opinion, illegitimate business people!!!!! and they are out to scam unaware, trusting, and naive people out of their hard-earned income!!!!!!!!! Sadly, I have learned my lesson about scammers, liars, and frauds via multiple venues the hard way since I married a con-artist who was very gifted at his craft of deception and conning poor unsuspecting people out of their life savings, only to go blow their hard-earned, and long-time saved-up nest egg in a grossly and most irresponsibly riotous drinking binges, while carousing and committing adultery with who knows how many different women; only to come home to beat me up, and threaten to kill me, while accusing me of his adulterous and wild partying binges that He, in fact, was guilty of, not I!!! Thank God, I got away from that wife-beating thief, and career criminal, and professional liar!!!!!!! Then, following a series of head injuries, I fell prey to several sweepstakes scams, because I had entered many sweepstakes in the last half of 2007, so, beginning on 01/08/08, I received a certified letter in the mail, claiming that I won millions of dollars! That’s when the mail fraud began!!!!!!!!!!
In my opinion LifeCell uses disgusting marketing tactics. I was appalled that this company is allowed to operate as it took 115 pounds out of my account because I failed to read the small print which told me I had unwittingly signed up for a continuous supply of the cream.
it’s not a “free” trial because you are paying £7.95 shipping and handling costs and then if you don’t want the product you then have to return it at another £8 shipping costs so in fact my “free” trial cost £16 and I didn’t even have the product at the end of it!
My whole experience of Life cell has left me emotionally bruised and as a result I won’t sign up for any more free trials again or give my bank details out on the internet as I was so upset by Lifecell’s marketing policy.
DO NOT BUY LIFECELL – IT IS A SCAM.
Firstly I feel that the cream itself does not work, all the claims stated did nothing for my skin, secondly the manner in which they decided to promote/sell the cream using the ’30 day free trial’ is deceptive and fraudulent, as no where does it clearly state that the customer would end up paying the FULL price if they did not like the product and not return the goods in time, and the fact the customre has to PAY additional cost to return theproduct aswell. They keep you card details and can deduct money and we have no control over this too ! The promotion clearly just stated that the customer can test the product using the trial promo, but there is NO mention in the advert that IF the customer fails to return the cream WITHIN 30 days, the customer gets charged FULL PRICE!! It is deceptive to me and that is the second reason why I strongly do not want to associate myself with a company that uses deceptive methods to try and get sales. IF the cream truely is good and does work the way they claim, then they DO NOT have to use such deceptive tactics to try and sell the product, it should sell based on the true FACTS!!!
You are absolutely right !
LifeCell does not work. It is a gimmick, I believe they know people aren’t going to take the time and effort to send back the product to get their money back guarantee, or they don’t get it back within the 30 days that it stipulates.
What a WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!
I’ve used this product twice a day for 4 days on, clean skin as directed, and the only difference I’ve seen is my skin is softer than before. There has been NO change in the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles.
Thankfully my purchase was made through another website so Lifecell does not have my credit card info.
Unless there is a huge difference in the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles by the time I finish my tube, it will have been a lesson well learned re: ‘if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is’.
what can you expect? Dr. Oz sells it and he is such a colossal fraud.
I tried Bellaplex on a similar 30 day trial. Yes, the product started to have a slight positive effect, but I also felt somewhat guilty about using their product without paying for it when I had doubts about whether I would continue using it or not at the end of the trial. Consequently, when they contacted me via phone, way down here in New Zealand, towards the end of the trial period I felt intimidated by their overconfident, persuasive and insistence that I should buy their product. As a retail-sales professional working in an intense retail environment, I can tell you that their tactics are well thought out to position you, the customer, into feeling obliged to purchasing their product. I think they are playing on your emotions. If you want to go down that route and give them your credit card number, fine, but be very aware of what you are getting into.
Is it tested on animals?
You do not say what the ingredients are derived of, and why dont you list the 43 ingredients?
This product is a scam. The product does not work, and they don’t tell you that they will take $189.00 from your credit card if you do not send the product back within 30 days o the free trial.
Lifecell’s customer service is great. I just called yesterday to cancel my ongoing order that I’d been receiving for about two years. I got an American on the line, and she was responsive to my request. That’s not true the phone number and email don’t work. The cream is excellent, I just can’t afford it anymore. The price drops to $149 after your initial bottle and they send free VIP skincare with every shipment.
Thank God I checked the reviews first before making a final purchase from there website. This CLEARLY IS A SCAM! They say Free Trial but will make you pay and it says there 60 days supply(I thought its 30 days) and I can’t find that checkbox that says auto refill for VIP. They ask for your card info and checking the reviews this company has been continued stealing money from people who gave there card info regardless if they receive their “refill packs” . If you really want to try this product without them stealing your card info, purchase it in Amazon, also read the comments in Amazon, so many spam alerts also there.
While browsing the AARP web site, I came across an advertisement for LifeCell. It offered a free sample of their product for shipping and handling of around $5.00. I used my credit card to order the free sample and within two minutes I received a call from my credit card company fraud alert department that my credit card had just been charged $4.99 shipping by LifeCell and one minute later my card was charged $189.00 by LifeCell again. I authorized the shipping fee, declined the $189.00 fee and at the advice of my credit card company canceled my card for a new one. It’s sad that this company is allowed to prey on seniors who would need an attorney to read the fine print in their preamble of rules and fine print that allows LifeCell to charge their credit card $189.00 each month. Sounds like a scam to me. I alerted AARP that they should screen their advertisers for scams and sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission.
Your going to be SHUT DOWN!!
I ordered the 30 day free trial was charged $18.42 for delivery. to my absolute shock i was then charged $238.93 a month later without my knowledge or consent. send nymerous telephone calls, emails with no reply. PLEASE BEWARE of this fraud company
Big time SCAM! Do not buy it!
I took the free trail half August. I was not aware of the small letters, and I recently found out that after 30-days they billed me 189 US. I thought it was just a free offer and I had to pay with my creditcard the cost only for posting me the free item to try out. Suddenly I received a box with new lifecell stuff. I did not want it, and try to cancel it. Lot of hassle, because FedEx need a return ticket and that is not provided and no response from Lifecell to provide it. They only return you better offers to keep the stuf. No they billeed another 163 USD, zo in total is billed 380 USD, and basicly I have 1 tube half empty and 1 closed box with some stuff I like to return. I have to cancel my creditcard or block it to avoid another billing from them…it’s a nightmair. in 60 days I lost 380 USD to them without any customer support to solve it. Still don’t know how to return the package and how to get my money back. PLEASE don’t use the free trail offer, you get a lot of hassle and empy bankaccount. In my country they call this fraude.
Impossible to cancel by phone or email. Product showed now significant improvement in wrinkles or skin. Only way to detach from payment is to cancel credit card. Will not deal with us companies again. Truly a scam.
Ditto, I had the same experience, I was pissed with myself as well, bloody scammers, u need to b taken down.get a life…
Lifecell is a scammer they automatically charge your credit card even thou you cancel your order . I didnt pursue my order when i see their price tag but still they delivered so i expect its free trial so i used it but there was no improvements onmy face and i tell them that but stillthey charge me.Can i sue them because im from the Philippines
Thanks for all the reviews. So glad I didn’t take them up on the $4.99 free offer. I hate it when people are cheated
Just made a transaction to try lifecelle based on their Instagram promotion 30 days trial, they have charged me two transactions on my credit card one is 14.50 Dollars for shipping and anothe transaction 189 AED , they did not even alert me or mentioned this on the payment screen.
That start doubting … not clear what I get now and who shall I contact to explain.
I managed to cancel my order tbh. I just emailed them straight away. As soon as the order came in I contacted support. Also, the phone number does work – it’s American though so it needs a dial code. And there are some false websites – maybe thats the problem?
Secondly, I also found that the product did work. I guess I’m on my own here too – it is a great all-in-one solution. The only thing I wish was that it had sunscreen.
I really loved this product so felt i should say something. So many negative reviews but thats the way it goes online. Negativity feeds negativity.
Woe
this product made my skin look better. I love it. I’m surprised to see so many negative comments, and no, I’m not a shill or with the company. I am worried about the $189 deduction from my card, so I will probably return it and cancel. Not sure, yet.
This company took money from my credit card after I had sent the sample, I refuse to call it free, back and expressly told them not to take money from my card. As li was not allowed by the Post Office to post liquids, I was told by LifeCell to empty the tube, cut it in half and send it back. That pointless and ridiculous exercise cost me almost €9. Do not have anything to do with this company.
I did pay $4 for shipping, they never say anything about returning the product after 30 days or the if you buy it they will keep charging you every month $198 and sending you more samples?!!?! ?I received a email after 2 weeks saying the they will charge me $198 in the next 4 days so I call to complain and someone give me the address and where to send the cream back so they don’t charge me the $198 But i have to pay the shipping … now she call me back saying the she can give me a discount if I keep it $90 instead of $198 …
DO NOT get involved with this “company”
their methods are aggressive and bullying. I’m sorry for people with lesser resources getting sucked in by their methods and threats! Besides that the product is scientifically garbage, the aggressive and dishonest costumer service policies are right out illegal.
Protect yourself, ask your bank not to allow any charges from this company and record all interactions. LifeCell employees are trained to deny, confuse and get you to pay for a product you don’t want!
What a scam
I ordered their free 30-day trial for just a $4.25 shipping fee and they promptly charged my card $4.25 and another charge for $189. This company is fraudulently ripping people off. They said they are refunding my money, but it has been over a week and they still have not refunded anything. I am disputing the charges with my bank. Anyone who does business with this company is out of their mind.
Great product, I used it for years, cancelling and getting back to it and never had a problem. I’ve never been overcharged or felt ripped off… not sure what all the negative reviews are about..
What will I do because they deducted money from my account this company is a scam. I want my money back!
The person that wrote the main review is some kind of yo-yo . Clearly this product does not work and does not deserve the 9 out of 10 that she gave it . This site is loaded with negative reviews as are many other sites. Lifecell clearly doesn’t work and is clearly a scam!
I bought into this fraudulent scam…The cream caused my face to swell and break out in hives…This was after a skin test…I went to the doctor’s and he kept the tube for analysis…I contacted them and was hit with the rudest person I have ever met…She actually said ” at your age WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? MIRACLES?” !!!!! They billed my credit card $189 and after trying to contest this charge twice, they lied to my credit card company…The least I would expect is another tube to give away for $189!!!! Don’t be a fool like I was!!!
